Water Resources Program
We are pleased to announce that the Water Resources Program was
approved by the State Board of Education in April 2007. This Program offers M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees in Water Resources, and also offers
concurrent J.D./M.S. and J.D./Ph.D. option
(J.D. in Law). Each student in the Water
Resources Program can choose one of the following option areas:
Law, Management
& Policy,
Science & Management,
and
Engineering & Science.
Environmental Science
Program
The Environmental Science Program offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D.
degrees with different option areas. The B.S. degree has three
option areas: Biological Science, Physical Science, and Social Science.
The M.S. degree offer option areas in: Physical Science, Natural
Resource Management, Ecology, Earth Science/Hydrology, Waste Management,
Policy and Law, Environmental Health/Toxicology, and a concurrent J.D.
Option areas for the Ph.D. degree are: Physical Science, Natural
Resource Management, Ecology, Earth Science/Hydrology, Waste Management,
and Policy and Law. For further information visit the
Environmental Science web site.

AERS web site.
Biological and
Agricultural Engineering
This department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Biological
and Agricultural Engineering (BAE) as well as a B.S. in Agricultural
Systems Management (ASM). The B.S. in BAE has option areas in:
Agricultural Engineering, Biological Engineering, Environmental
Engineering, Food and Bioprocess Engineering, and Soil and Water
Engineering. The B.S. in ASM offers option areas in: Agricultural
Information Systems, Water and Waste Management Systems, Agricultural
Production Management, Agricultural Machine Systems. M.S. and
Ph.D. degrees are linked to research in the fields of Surface Water
Hydrology, Water Quality, Irrigation Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences,
Bio-energy, Vadose Zone Hydrology, Subsurface Science, Microbiological
aspects of Waste Water, Groundwater Modeling, Waste Management.
The department also houses the State Climatologists (see

The Department of
Geological Sciences currently offers an undergraduate (B.S.) degree in
Geology, with the option of choosing emphasis areas in general geology,
hydrogeology, environmental geology, resource exploration, structural
geology and tectonics, and geological education. The Department of
Geological Sciences offers graduate degrees in Geology (M.S. and Ph.D.)
and Hydrogeology (M.S.). For more information on this department,
